It’s clear from email feedback and statistics from my website that most people are at least one week behind at the moment. For example, only 67 solvers attempted last week’s Stickler Weekly through to Friday, where the average is about 160. I suspect the holidays have played their part in slowing people down, so I’m taking this week off to allow people to catch up. I apologise to those who are up-to-date and hope that you had time to have a go at the bonus Holiday Special Puzzle #1 posted last week.
With the start of a new year comes fresh opportunities to spread the word about the Stickler Weekly. Crossword groups, clubs, fellowship groups, social groups, community college courses, U3A courses, library events etc provide avenues for cryptic crossword solvers to tell people about their favourite Australian crossword website that provides free professional cryptic crosswords, clue help and worked solutions.
All you have to do is remember stickler.com.au
Thanks for doing The Stickler Weekly – it will return next week.
Best and thanks
David

I will miss the challenge of your weekly crossword. In last week’s the use of BRAYED to mean pounded was a new one for me. The rest of it I enjoyed.
Hi David
Really surprised at the low number of cryptic fans. Hope you can persevere.
