Yeha! Another great one David.
I thought 16a and 22a particularly clever.
Thank you once again David.
I like 22-ac, too. I think 3-dn is devious: it took a while for the penny to drop after I knew the answer.
Thanks David.
Yep, a beauty. 3 and 14 my picks. Last on in was 6d, not sure why, maybe I parked it and forgot to go back.
So, no congratulations… but success nonetheless! A moment of doubt at not seeing the long red box, then a picture pops up, and yet another moment until it’s meaning registered.
Quite a few struggles today and resorted to the hint for 3d – but that didn’t help until I realised I had the definitions back-to-front in 18a.
As with 3d, lots of ahahs in parsing after the fact/guesses today, but many hahas as a result.
22a and 26a were the biggest surprises.
An indulgent pleasure as always. Thanks David.
(Sorry, predictive typo above – it’s for its).
Like Patrick, I was somewhat surprised to get the flag instead of the boxed message.
I had a great run in my first session, but came to a shuddering halt with slow progress for the second sitting.
16d was last in. Totally lost the plot as I played with mart etc.
22a and 25a I needed the clue hints
3d and 13d are my favourites this week.
All my Picks of the Week are included above.
Special Awards for 22a & the totally unexpected Hood
& 3d all that over thinking & the Answer was there all the time.
Yet another thoroughly enjoyable Romp thru Cryptic Land. Thank You David.
