    have never before seen that definition of confirmed.

      Richard
      One of he options when I googled “confirmed definition” was “chronic”. For example, he was a confirmed alcoholic or a confirmed shirker. This does not come up when you google “confirm definition”. Barchester feature is one of the better known chronicles, but this was a verb and past tense.
