1a. The insight comment today reminded me that I had not correctly parsed this clue. “Lines” = “cords”. Of course!
8d The ? alerted me that there was something special here, but I did not correctly parse the answer until the blog raised the issue of two possible correct answers if my parsing was correct. I finally found correct parsing, but was not convinced.
So two answers right for the wrong reasons. Plus a brain explosion during the week. Not my best week. My report card reads “Can do better”
