Just finished. That was bloody hard this week! Especially loved 4 Down.
I thought the week’s break was for the wedding. Instead, David clearly spent the extra time scouring the Chambers for obscurities. 1ac, 12ac, 16ac and 18dn are all words I’ve never seen before. I’m proud to say I got them all without looking at the hints — although I did have some help from my own trusty Chambers.
A few other clues also get honourable mentions: 13ac, 23ac, 3dn and 6dn.
Overall, this one was at the tough end of the Stickler scale.
